Chesebrough agreed to sell its Health-tex unit.

Chesebrough-Pond’s said it has reached an agreement in principle with the managers of the division to sell them Health-tex in a leveraged buy-out for an undisclosed price. The management group is led by Robert A. Breakstone, 46, a former president of Health-tex who, as group vice president, has overseen the division since January, 1984. Health-tex, which makes and markets children’s apparel, had sales of $335.2 million last year.
