A infant girl was discovered dead in a toilet by a maintenance worker at a campground about 15 miles south of Lassen Volcanic National Park, the Tehama County Sheriff’s Department said. The unidentified newborn baby had been dead no more than a few days, authorities said. It was uncertain whether the infant was born dead or was left to die. An autopsy will be performed by the county coroner.
