Richard J. Kogan has been elected president and chief operating officer of Schering-Plough Corp., a worldwide pharmaceutical and consumer products company based in Madison, N.J.
Kogan, who joined the company in 1982 and is executive vice president-pharmaceutical operations, will assume the new responsibilities Jan. 1 from Robert P. Luciano, who will retain his positions as chairman and chief executive, the company said Monday.
The board also said Harold R. Hiser Jr. was elected executive vice president-finance and Donald R. Conklin was elected group vice president-pharmaceutical operations, also effective Jan. 1. Hiser is currently senior vice president-finance, and Conklin is president of its Schering U.S.A. division.
