Lewis Galoob Toys said it won a preliminary injunction in Los Angeles federal court against a rival Hong Kong toy maker that it claimed was selling a toy truck illegally copied from a Galoob design. The order prevents Lanard Toys Ltd. from distributing or selling its “4XFang” toy in any packaging similar to that of Galoob’s “The Animal” toy vehicle. Galoob also is seeking compensatory damages, court costs and $5 million in punitive damages.
