As part of a management transition plan, Genisco Technology Corp., Rancho Dominguez, said President Phillip G. Halamandaris was elected to the additional post of chief executive. Robert B. Phinizy, chairman emeritus, will serve on an advisory committee “to assist the new chief executive,” the company said. Halamandaris joined the high-tech company in August, 1983.
