SHEFFIELD, England — When Francis Wells’ cat curled up in the washing machine, she got more than a nap.
Not knowing Zadok was inside, Wells turned on the machine. When he removed the washing, out tumbled the cat, unconscious.
Wells, 31, a music teacher, said he put Zadok by the fire and the cat soon was back on her paws, apparently none the worse for her wash and rinse.
“Fortunately,” Wells said, “the machine was set for a gentle wash and a slow spin.”
