Unraveling of Iran-Contra-White House Tangle

I had to laugh to myself after reading President Reagan’s statement regarding his lack of memory as to exactly when he approved arms shipments to Iran. He asked the group of reporters if they remembered what they did on Aug. 8, 1985. He then stated that it is possible to forget things. Now, are we to understand that the President regards his decision to send arms to Iran in the same way I regard my decision to go shopping at the Beverly Center?

One hopes he takes a little more care in the decision-making process than he implies. After all, he is making decisions of national importance. When are people in America going to open their eyes and see this man for what he really is?
