Bangladesh Cracks Down on Speeding Truck Drivers

DHAKA, Bangladesh — Hundreds of trucks lined up outside Dhaka police headquarters Sunday after authorities ordered emergency checks and speed-control devices to avoid accidents.
Police equipped with hammers and jacks performed what one called “a transplant of governor seals” designed to limit speed to 15 m.p.h.Authorities ordered the measures after trucks killed at least 41 people in Bangladesh last month.
