Cross-Country Ski Event Won by Aalberg

TOKYO — John Aalberg of Norway won the men’s 30-kilometer Urabandai Cross-Country Ski Meet Sunday, edging Yuji Yamaichi of Japan by 1.1 seconds.
Aalberg, now studying at the University of Utah, finished in 1:46:18.9.
A field of 45 skiers competed in the meet in Fukushima, northern Japan.
