Allied-Signal plans to sell its electronics unit.

The aerospace conglomerate, based in Morris Township, N.J., agreed to sell Amphenol Products to a subsidiary of LPL Investments Group for $430 million. Amphenol Products, based in Lisle, Ill., makes electronic connectors and cables. Last year the unit posted sales of about $500 million. Allied-Signal announced in December that it was trying to sell seven electronics and instrumentation units to raise more than $1 billion to reduce the company’s debt and to continue its share buyback program.
