Poindexter, North and the Congressional Committee

No one could have said it better than the committee Chairmen Inouye and Hamilton.
In retrospect, testimony by North won my heart during the emotions of the time. But now that the theatrics are over, and once the curtain sets on the Iran-contra hearings, one will ultimately conclude that North did only tell the bad and the ugly.
As a naturalized American, I cherish this country for the moral values it stands for and for its unique and unmatchable democracy. Lies, contempt, abuse and arrogant use of power are and will be the leftovers that will remain in everyone’s mind. And these are the ingredients that forced me to leave my original home (Lebanon).
