Los Alisos and Santa Margarita water districts selected new directors in Tuesday’s election by mail-in ballot in which one vote was counted for every dollar of property value the voter owned.
Jack T. Eagan, 57, an incumbent, and Daniel R. Rainey, 37, and Gary D. Cronk, 36, are the new directors of Los Alisos Water District after the four-candidate election.
The 1,121 votes cast represented $266,170,217 in property value. Rainey amassed 36,025,652 in votes; Cronk, 26,006,868; and Eagan, 19,040,693.
In Measure A, in which voters decided that one dollar of assessed property value equaled one vote, 72,999,354 represented the yes vote and 3,941,799 the nay vote.
William S. Krasho, 45, and Don B. Schone, 46, beat out incumbent Raymond F. Melissa for the two seats on the Santa Margarita Water District in the three-person race.
