John M. Nelson has been named chairman and chief executive of Worcester, Mass.-based Wyman-Gordon Co. Nelson succeeds James S. Walsh, who resigned for personal reasons, the company said. Nelson is the former chairman and chief executive of Norton Co., which is also based in Worcester, Mass.
