Federal Express in Talks to Buy Jets: Federal Express Corp. said it is in negotiations with European plane maker Airbus Industrie over the purchase of A300-600 freighter jets, but it denied that an agreement had been reached. The company also declined to speculate about whether or when a pact might be reached. The announcement follows various press reports that a deal had been struck between the two companies.
