Acqua Group to Market Water Coolers Nationally

Acqua Group Inc., a Van Nuys company that makes and sells bottle-less water coolers for commercial establishments, said it has tentatively agreed to form a joint venture with a Houston company to distribute and market Acqua coolers nationwide.
Under the proposed deal, the Houston concern, Critical Industries Inc., would provide leased space, various equipment and financing. The joint venture would open five major sales, distribution and marketing centers, and as many as 30 nearby satellite offices. In turn, Critical Industries would receive 20% of the net profits from the offices.
The five major centers would be in San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago and northern New Jersey.
Critical Industries makes and sells equipment for asbestos removal and abatement.
