Parenthood Pending: Perennial Hollywood bachelor Warren Beatty and actress Annette Bening are expecting a child early next year. “We are happy to confirm that we are looking forward to the birth of a child,” the couple said in a statement released Monday by Beatty’s publicist. There was no word on whether Beatty, 55, and Bening, 33, plan to wed. The couple met while working on Beatty’s new film on gangster Ben (Bugsy) Siegel. With motherhood pending, Bening is out of Warner’s upcoming “Batman” sequel, in which she was to play Cat-woman. An Oscar nominee for “The Grifters,” she is currently on screen opposite Harrison Ford in “Regarding Henry.” Beatty has been linked over the years with several co-stars, including Madonna, Diane Keaton, Leslie Caron and Julie Christie. Bening is divorced.
