TransTechnology Profit Rises for 1st-Quarter

TransTechnology Corp., a Sherman Oaks-based maker of electronic components and other equipment for military and industrial markets, reported an $847,000 profit in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, nearly triple the $294,000 profit the company earned a year earlier. Revenues, however, fell 12% to $38.2 million from $43.2 million.
The company attributed the higher profit to reduced costs.
