The Chicago Blackhawks traded center Troy Murray and left wing Warren Rychel to the Winnipeg Jets for defensemen Bryan Marchment and Chris Norton.
A 10-year veteran, Murray, 28, had 14 goals and 23 assists in 75 games last season. Rychel, 24, has spent most of his five seasons in the Blackhawks’ farm system but joined Chicago for three playoff last season.
Marchment, 22, played 28 games last season for the Jets, with two goals and two assists. Morton, 26, has spent the last three years in the Jets’ farm system, playing 72 games with eight goals and 28 assists.
