Wilson-Duval Makes Commitment to Purdue

Meisha Wilson-Duval, a track standout at Woodbridge High, has made an oral commitment to Purdue, Woodbridge Coach George Varvas said Wednesday.
Wilson-Duval has the best times in the 200 (24.61 seconds) and 400 meters (55.40) in Orange County this year.
She is expected to sign her letter of intent today.

UC Irvine junior Kevin Yamauchi has been named an All-American sports scholar by the Golf Coaches Assn. of America.
Yamauchi, an economics major, had a stroke average of 75.41 over 27 rounds this season. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes had to have a minimum 3.2 grade-point average.
