Forum to Spotlight Council Candidates

VENTURA — The Downtown Ventura Assn. is sponsoring a Ventura City Council candidates forum today at 7:30 a.m. at Pineapple’s Restaurant.
The forum is designed to give merchants and residents a chance to meet the candidates and hear their positions on economic development, the redevelopment of downtown Ventura and other issues facing the city.
The event is free and open to the public.
Twelve candidates--including one incumbent--are seeking three council seats on the Nov. 7 ballot.
