Furon’s Net Up 16%

LAGUNA NIGUEL — Furon Co., which makes industrial polymer components, posted net income of $13.2 million, or $1.46 a share, for the fiscal year ended Feb. 3, a 16% increase from the $11.4 million, or $1.27 a share, reported for the previous year. Sales rose 11% to $344.9 million from $312.1 million.
For the fourth quarter, net income totaled $3.3 million, or 37 cents a share, 10% higher than the $3 million, or 33 cents a share, recorded for the comparable period last year. Sales rose 10% to $88.7 million from $80.9 million.
