Physician Found Bludgeoned to Death in Her Bedroom

A prominent physician in the Japanese American community in Los Angeles was found bludgeoned to death Friday in the bedroom of her Westlake home, police said.
Linda Morimoto, 75, had been killed less than 24 hours before her body was found at her home in the 400 block of South Lafayette Park Place, officials said. Detectives said Friday night that they had not determined a motive.
