Economist Laffer to Speak at Diabetes Fund-Raiser
- Share via
Economist Arthur Laffer will speak Friday at the Irvine Marriott hotel at a forum to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International.
Chapman University President James L. Doti will lead a discussion between Laffer and Lincoln Anderson, director of global research for Fidelity Investments.
Their topic will be the national economy.
Laffer, an advisor to former President Reagan, gained national attention in the 1980s as a proponent of the supply-side theory of economics.
The theory is back in the spotlight with the choice of Jack Kemp, also a supply-sider, as Republican vice presidential candidate.
Tickets for Friday’s luncheon are $50. For information and reservations, call (714) 553-0363.
