Poly def. Granada Hills, 15-12, 9-15, 12-15, 15-11, 15-9--Alex Vallejo had 22 kills, Billy Cuevas added 21 and Oscar Garcia had 34 assists for the sixth-seeded Parrots (13-2) in their upset of host Granada Hills.
Mike Aleman had 27 kills, Adam Ghonem had 13 kills and 11 blocks, and Steve Harrington had 51 assists for third-seeded Granada Hills (11-4).
Chatsworth def. Garfield, 15-6, 14-16, 15-4, 15-13--David Lurth had 32 kills, 11 blocks and 27 digs for Chatsworth (10-4) at Garfield (14-1).
In City Division quarterfinals:
Kennedy def. North Hollywood, 15-6, 15-9, 15-5--Andrew Choy had 13 kills and four aces for host Kennedy (7-8).
Canoga Park def. Belmont, 11-15, 15-13, 15-10, 12-15, 15-11--Philip Mramor’s sideline kill sparked a 4-0 run in the fifth game for host Canoga Park (9-6).
Mramor finished with 39 kills, 20 digs and five blocks.
