Woman Killed, 2 Hurt in 5-Vehicle Collision

An Oxnard woman died Sunday afternoon in a five-car accident at Rice Avenue and Channel Islands Boulevard that left at least two others with minor injuries.
Maria Jesus Rosas Reyes, 55, was pronounced dead at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, said Ventura County Deputy Coroner Armando Chavez.
A hospital spokeswoman said two other victims were admitted to the emergency room, treated and released.
California Highway Patrol officials were still investigating the 3 p.m. crash late Sunday and provided no details on the cause of the incident or whether any others were injured.
