Oooh, That Smarts!

It’s December, so here are my nominations for dumbest performances of the year:
1. Mo Vaughn cautioning the Angels about how much they’re going to miss him.
2. The Nevada Boxing Commission refusing to issue Mike Tyson a license until he showed proof that he’d completed an anger-management class.
3. The Chicago Cubs believing that the only thing standing between them and their first World Series appearance since 1945 is an expensive new manager.
4. The French figure skating judge deciding to collude with the Russians in their plan to cheat the Canadians.
5. Rick Fox needlessly hurting his already depleted team by getting suspended for a meaningless fight.
