Helicopters Rescue 200 Families After Floods

About 200 families were rescued by helicopter after floods swept through villages northeast of the nation’s capital of Kabul.
Three children were reported missing after waters rose Saturday around the Gorban River in the Shomali plain, said David Singh, spokesman for the U.N. Mission in Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defense evacuated 200 families by helicopter on Saturday, he said.
