Resurgent Warriors end Suns’ streak

Monta Ellis scored 15 consecutive points in the fourth quarter on the way to matching his career-high with 31 points, and the resurgent Golden State Warriors ended the Phoenix Suns’ eight-game winning streak with a 129-114 victory Monday night in Oakland.
Stephen Jackson scored a season-high 32 points in his first home appearance of the season, and Baron Davis had 28 points, 10 assists and six rebounds while leading a relentless offensive attack in Golden State’s sixth victory in seven games following an 0-6 start.
Golden State had a 45-point first quarter and rarely let up afterward.
Steve Nash had 23 points and 13 assists for Phoenix.
Dallas Mavericks Coach Avery Johnson was fined $25,000 by the NBA for failing to leave the court in a timely manner and for verbal abuse of an official after being ejected from Friday’s loss at Indiana. . . . Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin is day to day after an MRI exam on his surgically repaired right knee found only a bone bruise. . . . Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace (calf) was cleared to play tonight at Miami after sitting out the previous game.
