Tourists and Terrorists
Will misses the point in his piece about panicky American tourists. The attacks on Americans and their reaction is proof that Reagan’s plan for making us the most hated paranoids in recent times is working fine. And since bathtubs and highways indeed take so many more American lives than do Libyans, it is time to retarget; let us bomb Crane or Kohler, Detroit, Mannheim, and Osaka to sustain the notion Americans do not tolerate terrorism, no matter its form or source.
