Japan Cultural Exchange Program

The Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles is planning its second cultural exchange program to intensify English language instruction in Japan, the 1988 JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program).
JET enrolls instructors from the United States and other English-speaking countries to teach English in Japan among local governments, schools and small companies for one year. The program is being expanded from 800 to 1,300 instructors. Applications for the 1988 program, which begins on Aug. 1, are available at the consulate, 250 East 1st St., Suite 1507.
