Business and Vacation Travelers

A Holiday Inn survey of 1,200 business and vacation travelers showed distinct differences in use of such hotel services as swimming pools and room service, and even in the number who took showers rather than baths.
The survey disclosed that 83% of business travelers make long-distance telephone calls from their rooms but that only 43% of vacationing guests made long-distance calls.
Room service was reported to be used far more often by the business traveler than the vacationer: 16% compared to 7%.
The survey also reported that only a third of the business travelers, 32%, used the hotel pool, but that 53% of the vacationers reported spending time at the pool.
In-room movies were watched by 54% of business travelers compared to 26% of the vacationing guests.
