Fragile Cliffs Require Care

The sandstone cliffs bordering North County are fragile. Here are some safety and care suggestions:
Use designated paths and stairs.
Don’t uproot any plants found along the cliffs. Vegetation is one of the best defenses against erosion.
Avoid climbing, standing or sitting beneath the cliffs. They may shift suddenly.
Avoid the temptation to explore beach caves. The disturbance may trigger their collapse.
