‘Down and Out’ at Holiday Time

Regarding “Down and Out,” if the author spent more time in trying to get out of her situation than complaining about others, maybe she would accomplish her goals. This is what is wrong with America.
I drive a Mercedes 380 SL which cost more than the average car. People say SL stands for “some luck”; no, it means “slave labor” because that is what it took to be able to buy it.
