ANAHEIM : Village Faire Offers Ethnic Spin on Fun

Organizers of this weekend’s Village Faire expect 30,000 to 40,000 people at the fourth annual event, which runs through Sunday at the Phoenix Club, a nonprofit group dedicated to preserving and celebrating Anaheim’s German heritage.
A mix of live music is being featured, including Bavarian, country-western, big band, calypso and salsa. Other attractions are carnival rides, children’s entertainment, arts and crafts, community information booths and ethnic foods.
Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Sunday. The Phoenix Club is at 1340 S. Sanderson Ave., north of The Pond. Admission and parking are free.
