* It was with great sadness that I learned of cosmetic legend Max Factor Jr.’s death (June 9), but I was further dismayed to learn that the Art Deco beauty museum will close June 15.
Since 1986 I’ve conducted a field trip for my fashion merchandising majors that included the J. Paul Getty Museum, Greystone Mansion and the Max Factor Beauty Museum. By far, the beauty museum always fascinated my students the most. Shame on its owners for depriving the Southland of this Hollywood treasure!
