Maxime (Andre Dussolier), proprietor of a prestigious violin repair shop, has fallen rapturously in love with a beautiful young violinist (Emmanuelle Beart, pictured). But she and Maxime’s employee (Daniel Auteuil, pictured), a meticulous, diffident craftsman, are apparently on the same wavelength.
