Bittersweet pop melodies and crisp production make this third release from the Canadian singer-songwriter her strongest yet. The introspective lyrics seem woefully overwrought at times, but Arden’s beautiful music and voice remain compelling throughout. Only misfire: a faithful yet faithless version of Lulu’s “To Sir With Love,” which never made much sense out of context in the first place.
