The Pulse of the City Is at His Fingertips

I enjoyed Patt Morrison’s loving tribute to the extraordinary and beguiling Robert Winter (“A Guide to the Kingdom of Oz,” SoCal P.O.V., Nov. 16). As another former student of his at Occidental College, I can vouch for his expertise about the history and architecture of Los Angeles as well as his supreme talent as a wit. A tour of the city with this man is educational and hilarious--an experience not to be missed.
For those of us who love both history and Los Angeles, Bob Winter accurately and comically articulates--performs, actually--our sense of this city in words and gestures, in a manner in which most of us are incapable of expressing.
