Services Wednesday for 2 Killed in Hawaii Slide

Services are scheduled at Forest Lawn Memorial Park--Hollywood Hills on Wednesday for two West Hills siblings killed in a landslide at a Hawaii state park on Mother’s Day.
Jennifer Johnson, 24, of West Hills was in Hawaii to attend her 29-year-old brother’s graduation from Chaminade University when they were caught in the landslide at Sacred Falls Park.
An English major at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Johnson planned to become part of a hazardous materials team to safeguard the environment.
Mark Johnson, who spent eight years in the U.S. Navy, was set to graduate magna cum laude from Chaminade.
Brother and sister are survived by their parents, Sheila and Len Johnson, and their grandmother, Elizabeth N. Slez, of Valley Village. Services are set for 12:30 p.m. in the Old North Church, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Hollywood Hills.
