Guitarist-singer Michael Gurley and drummer Phil Leavitt, formerly of the art-rock group dada, have formed a new group, Butterfly Jones, put out a debut album, “Napalm Spring,” and are on a tour that stops tonight at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. The group tries to look forward and backward simultaneously with its “soulful neo-psychedelia” that weds hallucinogenic British rock melodies and introspective lyrics.* Butterfly Jones, Coach House, 33157 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano. 8 p.m. $8.
