Land Trust Agrees to Buy 158 Acres for Trail

A land trust has agreed to purchase 158 acres that will add a three-mile segment to the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
The Muir Heritage Land Trust will pay $790,000 to the Dutra family for the land south of California 4 along the Franklin Ridge. Under the agreement, the land trust has 11 months to raise funds for the purchase.
The land is home to grassland and oak forests.
