Hooked on science

Re “One Small Step for Fish ... ,” April 6
I always find it fascinating when science makes a new discovery that points to our humble origins. In this case, the ancient fish named Tiktaalik roseae, dating back about 375 million years to the late Devonian period, may be the link between aquatic creatures and terrestrial animals. As I was reading this, I could almost hear the screams of agony emanating from anti-evolution fundamentalist Christians as they were forced to entertain the thought that evolution did happen and the Earth really is more than 10,000 years old.
