14 shows to get you in the mood for Mexican Independence Day

Reporting from Las Vegas — With Mexican Independence Day just around the corner on Sept. 16, Las Vegas is gearing up to celebrate El Grito. Here’s a look at 14 top Latin artists that can help you be “Livin’ la Vida Loca” next month in Las Vegas.
Mexican performer Marco Antonio Solis kicks off the celebration Sept. 11 at Planet Hollywood Resort. Puerto Rican Latin pop singer Chayanne follows at the resort Sept. 12. Then Guatemalan singer and songwriter Ricardo Arjona takes the stage Sept.13, followed by American-born Mexican singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar on Sept. 14 and Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin on Sept. 15.
Over at the Mirage, comedian Gabriel Iglesias brings his storytelling, voices and sound effects Sept. 11-13.
Mexican singer and songwriter Alejandra Guzman appears Sept. 12 at the Palms.
Mandalay Bay hosts Mexican singers Luis Miguel on Sept. 12 and Juan Gabriel on Sept. 13, crooner Marc Anthony and Colombian singer Carlos Vives on Sept. 14 and Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez on Sept. 15.
The holiday celebration is rounded out with Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias on Sept. 13-14 and Spanish tenor Placido Domingo on Sept. 15 at Caesars Palace.
